ap: Axial engagement of the
tool, also known as the axial pass depth in mm.
ae: Radial engagement of the
tool in mm.
N: Rotational speed in rev min−1.
vc: Cutting speed in m min−1.
fz: Feed per tooth in mm
tooth−1.
vf: Feed rate in mm min−1.
Q: Material removal rate in cm3 min−1
