The photograph shows an example of a TIG-He-DC welded joint in a pressure vessel in an automotive vehicle airbag.

Circumferential joining of the two vessel parts,

  • Alloy: EN AW-6060 (AlMgSi)
  • Wall thickness: 0.5 mm
  • Welding speed: 1 m min-1
